Our family lives in Mecsér, a village only 18 kilometres far away from Győr, in the heart of ‘Szigetköz’. In a magnificent natural environment, close to the river Danube we can provide our present and future dogs with excellent living conditions. Apart from having a nearly 3000 m2 large garden we take them for walks in the country, swimming or running every day.
Let’s see how we fell under the spell of the lion dogs:
Afrikan Fata Morgana Aeneas called Mongu – who turned us into Rhodesian Ridgeback fans – got into our family in 2000. We could get to know all the virtues and – to the surprise of some outsiders – charms of this excellent breed through him. Mongu was a typical example of the embodiment of noble elegance and the demand for maximum comfort. His merits after one another and his results on exhibitions raised the desire for club-life in us. Therefore we started to emerge in the life of exhibitions.
So, in 2005, when it was time for another dog to enter our family, we chose a Ridgeback girl unanimously. Chobe Orumba Bara called Shingi introduced us to a totally different kind of the breed with her heart at least as big as her size. We could not have found any kinder ladies than her even if we had looked for; which projects her prospective maternal virtues. The tragedy of fate is that Mongu could not live until his “bride” got into a mature age, so we had to look for a new bridegroom for the very first litter of puppies...
Out of many excellent covering male dogs we picked Chimalsi Balda Löwenschwanz in the end. Chimi comes from an outstanding Slovak kennel having Austrian bloodline, and can be proud of several winning awards. With him we can realise our effort to make this breed more popular and famous by helping Rhodesian Ridgeback puppies of an excellent bloodline to be born for the first time in our county. |
